A MESSAGE FROM THE HEADMASTER

At A&J School, we are committed to equipping our students with the skills they need to succeed in life. Our unique 'Core Curriculum' prepares them for every eventuality, helping to navigate the challenges of life in an increasingly competitive world. A&J School pupils are guided by our faculty members who are academics and educators from diverse fields. They inspire confidence, curiosity, and leadership in our students, pushing them to reach their full potential through debating and exchanging ideas.
A&J School is not for everyone. There is no art studio, no athletics track, and no music centre. However, live remote learning does suit a great number of pupils who benefit from our world-leading teaching. What we save by not having physical infrastructure gets invested into securing some of the best educators in the world and making them available to our pupils. For example, some of the modules in our unique Core Curriculum are taught by professors from Harvard and researchers from Oxford. At A&J School, we challenge our students, stretching them to set ambitious goals and take on life’s opportunities with confidence.

Communication

Through teaching in small groups of eight, students at A&J School become exceptional communicators who regularly engage in healthy debate and discussion with each other. We don’t teach them what to think, but how to think by giving them the opportunity to share their views in a rigorous environment with our faculty members and their peers. Our pupils emerge from A&J School with the ability to talk to anyone in any situation on any topic— an essential life skill needed in our world. Having the ability to communicate effectively is, more than ever before, an absolute necessity.

Academics at A&J School are of a very high standard as our faculty members are world-leading teachers. We routinely get more than 100 applications for every teaching vacancy. This is only possible because we are not restricted by location and can therefore recruit the best educators regardless of where they live. Many of our students go on to win places at some of the world’s best universities having been mentored by our specialised University Admissions & Careers team. Our pupils learn research and critical thinking skills and develop self-motivation and self-discipline in all their endeavours, whether academic or otherwise. At A&J School, we do not simply teach our students how to pass exams. Instead, our curriculum instils a habit of life-long learning.
