A Powerful End to a Transformative Course

This July, students from across the world came together online to participate in “Communicating for Impact”, a dynamic course taught by Professor Timothy Patrick McCarthy of Harvard University, and hosted by A&J Education.

Over the course of two weeks, from 7th to 19th July, students explored the tools and mindset needed to communicate with confidence, clarity, and empathy. The program blended interactive online classes, pre-recorded masterclasses, and real-time feedback — offering participants a rare chance to learn directly from a world-renowned expert in public speaking, storytelling, and leadership communication.

A Course that Left a Mark

Professor McCarthy, who has taught for over 25 years at Harvard and received a National Humanities Medal from President Obama, guided students through key topics like:

Understanding rhetoric and persuasion

Crafting messages with impact

Speaking with presence and purpose

Listening deeply and leading with empathy

The course concluded on Saturday 19th July, following the final online session. After a meaningful and reflective closing class, students were congratulated and received their certificates — a well-earned reward after two weeks of growth, learning, and courage.

Looking Ahead

At A&J, we believe that great communication is at the heart of leadership. This course wasn’t about delivering perfect speeches — it was about learning to speak up, listen better, and connect with others in a meaningful way.

We are proud of each and every student who joined us, and we’re already looking forward to the next edition of Communicating for Impact.
